Maddi Intravartolo

Maddalena Intravartolo is a fourteen-year-old artist and activist. For several years, she has created paintings and sketches for themed philanthropic art shows. She has donated impressive proceeds from her art, to causes close to her heart. Some of her themes have been Racial Injustice, Feminism, and Gun Violence. She is currently working on art for this year’s show based on Different Abilities. Over the years she has donated to the likes of: Siena Francis House for the unhoused, Green Omaha Coalition, Nebraska Humane Society, Ruby Bridges Foundation, Inclusive Communities, Woman’s Fund of Omaha, and Students and Moms Demand Action for the prevention of gun violence.

Maddalena was the recipient of the Necessary Trouble Award in 2022 at Inclusive Communities Humanitarian Awards. She has recently taken to spoken word and slam poetry. Maddalena newly participated in this year’s Martin Luther King – Living the Dream Event, at the Holland Center for Performing Arts and was honored to win first place in her category. Maddalena is a young woman who is drawn to the causes of social justice and civil rights. She is continually searching for ways to make an impact and illuminate these issues. Maddalena was a micro-preemie at birth, and she embraces her cerebral palsy. She has worked remarkably hard to be who she is in the world today. Maddalena aligns with and advocates for all abilities; she strives to be a light for marginalized people and desires to make the world a better place for everyone.

This year was Maddalena’s first, participating in a Miss Amazing event. She thoroughly enjoyed herself and was recognized as Nebraska’s Miss Amazing Junior Teen Queen. She is relishing in this newfound experience and looking forward to nationals this summer!
