About

AMPLIFY is our biggest event of the year where we teach self-advocacy skills to girls and women with disabilities ages 5+ in a fun environment with real stakes along with crowning our queens for the upcoming year. We do this by having many activities throughout the weekend such as interviewing with a panel of judges where participants exercise communication skills along with having each participant introduce themselves and their strengths to an audience. Additionally, we have several fun activities to break things up such as having volunteers do our participants’ hair and makeup along with time to make crafts with other participants.

With Nebraska being one of the larger chapters, we split our event up over two days with Saturday being for our younger age groups (Rising Stars, Pre-Teen, Junior Teen, and Teen) and Sunday being for our older age groups (Junior Miss, Miss, Senior Miss, and Mentor). Each year we choose a theme for our Amplify event, with our 2026 Amplify event having a Candyland theme.

Who Can Participate?

Girls and women ages 5 and older who have an IEP, IPP, 504 plan, SSI, or a physician’s document proving disability are eligible to participate in Miss Amazing. Use the Registration link in the sidebar on desktop or at the bottom of the page to begin the process of becoming a Miss Amazing participant.
